No he had no other paper work other than what came through the post summoning him to court as the registered keeper.. Work say they have not named him so where did the police get the fact that he is the keeper from? Court told him that even though he is not the keeper he should still of appeared at court.. So how can they punish him for not turning up when he should not of been there in the first place!! |

I am a very worried parent I need some information for my son, he was summoned to court as the registered keeper of a works vehicle, which was flashed for speeding . But because he was not the registered keeper he gave the form to work who failed to sign and send back. Hence my son did not show up to the court hearing believing that work had dealt with it..My son then received a letter from the courts telling him that he needs to appear a second time which he did and took along a letter from work stating that they are the registered keepers of the vehicle. But because my son already has 9 points on his licience they have told him that he will receive a 6month ban because he failed to turn up to court the first time unless he can state mitigating circumstances.. Then there is still the problem as to who was driving the vehicle at the time of the offence work are saying it was my son but there is no evidence to substantiate this.. what does he do now? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
