As RK I have just received this ticket. The driver has allegedly picked up in a drop off zone at Edinburgh Airport. This incident happened on 4/7/19 sent out 10/10/19 and received today 15/10/19. The car has made more than one journey to pick up from this Airport so expect other Notices. Any help re way ahead etc would be grateful - Signage - unknown and a quick google check stays rules re pick up and drop off changed in June 2019 at this Airport.

Thanks

Trying to add rear of document but will not allow

Second ticket arrived today. Again alleged incident happened start July and ticket issued mid October- another 3 months after Incident. I thought they had to issue within a certain period of time or can they issue months and months afterwards. The ticket is CHARGE NOTICE (CN) in RED and NOTICE TO KEEPER (NTK) in BLACK. Advice re way forward with these Invoices.

Cheers.

Your thoughts are wrong. There are no rules governing invoices, and this is all they are. Invoices. Nothing else. Just slips of paper alleging a debt is oweed by the driver.
You ignore. Its Edinburgh, SCotland so no keeper liability.

Not sure why it was needed - its the exact same situation as earlier. File and ignore unless you get a LBA or a court claim form.

Wee update. Visited Airport yesterday. See attached photos. Second photo is of the sign you see as you drive up to the Airport before you enter the Drop Off Zone. I also took Dashcam of the approach to the Airport. Not the best re signage. I inadvertently entered the Fast Track and spoke to the advisor. I have him on Dashcam advising me to go to the Drop Off Area. I informed him that I was recording and not happy as this would incur a fine. Nothing from MP yet but I’ll give him to next Friday -8/11 before contacting him again.

Cheers

So collecting passengers is prohibited, clearly a forbidding sign so the contractual terms and conditions are a nullity as there is no contract.

Parking companies in Scotland do not take legal action for single (or even a handful of) tickets....

Thought as I was at Edinburgh Airport picking up I would post for thoughts and to actually view the signage at the Airport etc. Think in total I might have 3/4. I’ll keep you all posted as help on here has been first class.

Cheers have a great weekend.

Just wondered how you got on? I've tried to talk to 4 solicitors now with little or no help. I use the Airport every week, first letter was received on the 23rd November for being picked up on the 13th June!! Im receiving one a week as I use the Airport every week and stupidly thought this was related to Taxis only as the large bold signage indicates..
This Genuine error on my behalf will potentially cost ££££ but issuing nearly 6 months following is ridiculous!

Follow the advice given on here by the experts. I’ll let them help/advise on your own post. I’ve asked local MP for help and heard nothing from him. Guess who I’m not voting for this week. Five months to progress these Invoices is a joke and I’m sure a judge would look favourable in these matters if it ever got taken to court. It’s just another way to get an extra £2 out of the paying public. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask. These charlatans don’t.

I asked for advice the day I posted on here from Local MP. Needless to say he’s not replied.

An update

Just received this letter x 2 from Lawyers in Stepps Scotland. Still nothing from local MP. I’ll be chasing him again next week.

Pump the solicitors' name into Google and you'll find numerous cases which have gone through the stage you're now at. Check how many have proceeded to the Sheriff Court.
