Hi everyone.

First time offence . Pulled over by a copper and told I was doing 56 in a 30.

He said he would do me a favour and put 46 on the ticket after checking video (apparently briefly went to 56). So I supplied license and he wrote me a tor which says 46.

I know I'm an idiot and it wasn't deliberate . Clean license in 15years driving no previous.

Will it be court and will it be the tor speed or the video ??

Proper worried.

Thanks

Personally, I would phone the officer and say I'd been bricking it for the last 6 weeks and that my driving had really changed for the better - it was a real wake up call.....hopefully, he'd just say that that was the end of it and he will put the ticket through the shredder. Job done! I know I wouldn't be able to go on for a few more months not knowing if he would ever get around to processing his paperwork.

99 times out of a 100, if you speak and act nicely, the police are great - they are human, after all.

Why would the police cancel a ticket for 50% over the limit just because you're really, really sorry?

Good news then, I’m your position I’d be accepting that. DON’T FORGET TO SEND YOUR LICENCE, a lot of people forget and end up in court.
