Received a Parking charge notice today from Parking Eye.
Stayed at a car park for 4 hours - only 2 hours are free. The charge is £50 if paid within 14 days or £100 if not. The letter includes a little image of me entering and coming out with accurate times. The signs are fair-ish, there's quite a lot of them but the print (as always on these signs) can get small. Fully admit to parking there while visiting a nearby hospital and overstaying. I thought it was a man with a ticket machine, no idea they used ANPR cameras to track in and out. There is a nearby supermarket, cinema, bowling and pub. Read elsewhere (and here!) that if I speak to one of the managers at the leisure places, they can call parking Eye and get it cancelled. But as I didn't use their facilities, if they ask for proof, I don't have it (and although could easily fake one, it's a lot of work). Worth fighting? I don't really want a lot of hassle but if it's fairly easy to do... This post has been edited by BWBA: Tue, 22 Oct 2019 - 14:48 |

You could fake it yes but you wont win friends on here by doing so, and perjury results in a very low standard of accommodation if you are caught.
