Hi
M1 North - variable limit, four lanes, 50mph limit. Camera located above hard shoulder not lanes.

Just received an NIP for 58mph in lane 2 I have no recollection of the offence. Bit annoying as I take a lot of stick at work for my speed - am known as Captain Slow.
Three quick questions regarding the photos
1) the car in lane 3 (running on afterburners) is overtaking me as shown by the difference between the two photos - will he get his own ticket or have I received his?
2) How does one check the distance traveled between the two photos to check my speed - there are no markings on the carriageway only lane markings?

cheers Captain Slow

HADECS3.

No lines on road required.

The system can catch multiple speeders.

Pretty sure there was a thread couple of years back about seed limits on individual lanes and their legality.

I think all lanes had the same limit.

Thank you for the replies.
All very clever. How do I check from the photos my speed - that it is me and not Mr Skywalker in lane 3?
regards

It may not be possible. Others will confirm. The photos are to simply identify the vehicle.

Let's see the photo.

The yellow lines and green circle highlight the measured vehicle.

Reading again I see youre right. I took it the limit was only above HS not the camera. Ie hadecs 3.

If the other driver was going as fast as you say, is it not likely you were the one of the two measured at 58!

Not if you think he was going much faster than 58, no.

Still trying to upload a pic.......

Are they able to distinguish between lanes at the same time? We both got tickets?

Unless the other driver starts a thread of their own, we will have no idea.
