So I have questions for troubles with another branch of law- not motoring law. Can you please direct me to where I can find some?

How do you expect anyone to give you an appropriate suggestion, given no clue other than it's not motoring-related?

UK criminal law

Which is what we deal with in the Speeding section - in it's Scottish, NI and England & Wales incarnations. You really need to be more specific.

What exactly am I required to say? The actual criminal charge? Why do I need to disclose this?
I am looking for a forum dedicated to criminal offences that don't have anything to do with road traffic offences that will help me. I didn't ask for help with the charge on this forum?

Most forums are subject specific.

If you want advice without disclosing anything speak to a solicitor. Their initial consultation is often free.

There are all kinds of forums dedicated to specific areas of "UK" law - immigration, family, consumer, aviation, ............ The world isn't divided into just "road traffic offences" and "every other aspect of criminal law".

Alright fine then. I'm not comfortable disclosing it. But all the questions I have are generic questions about the running of a magistrates court trial. Surely you can help me with that here please?

Well yes, it would be run just like any other criminal trial in a magistrates court, like say a speeding trial, we have a forum called speeding AND OTHER CRIMINAL OFFENCES, maybe ask in there with your questions?

I hold a general legal qualification, so in theory I can answer any legal question you choose to pose. Whether I feel (a) competent and (b) desirous to do so are different matters.

You can get exactly what you want with legal privilege.

Or you can get help for free, but at some stage you'll have to post details.

Unless you're foolish and don't post anything that could be linked to you youmain anonymous. That said, on another forum there was a poster who was a teacher asking for tea and sympathy on undisclosed offences. Unfortunately he chose the username "KingsleyC", perhaps unaware that there aren't thousands of teachers called Kingsley.

You see this is why I never ever will divulge anything. I see what you did there with that "typo". It's not funny. I don't know how on earth you know who I am, probably through another site as I expect but I knew games would start being played.

Dunno why so reticent, a few more details would help us possibly direct you.

As for Magistrate's court proceedings.
Bare basics is you turn up in good time.
Are called into court.
Confirm you are who you are
Charge is read out and you are asked how you plea, guilty or not guilty.
If plea guilty either sentence immediately or deferred if further information or deliberations needed regarding this aspect (Social worker reports for instance)
If plea not guilty, case can be heard then and there or deferred for the trial.
If charges warrant, can be referred to Crown Court for sentence or trial.
Minor criminal charges will usually be dealt with by magistrates in fairly quick hearings.
Major will go to Crown Court and can be protracted.
If jail time is a possible sentence will normally end up in Crown Court if only for sentencing.

Probably best advice I can give is talk to a lawyer who normally practices in the specific area of criminal law.
Otherwise it is relying on strangers on a forum who may have some idea or be clueless.
Places like CPS guidance can give an idea on possible sentences for whatever the crime is and can give you the specific acts to look up.

Nothing cryptic IMO in youmain except a spelling error.. you remain.. makes sense in context.

I rather think that SP is thinking that NML struck dead centre with the link to the teacher.
This wording does make you wonder..."I don't know how on earth you know who I am..."
If so OP needs far more then a little advice on how Magistrate courts work.
And naïve I may be but are there forums that offer legal advice to paedophiles ?

“youmain” is a mangling of “you remain”, no more no less I think. Anyway, the OP is a dummy spitter.

Seems unlikely since that teacher got 3 years inside in November 2017.

But the OP could also just happen to be a teacher and it might be a case of 2+2=7

So I have questions for troubles with another branch of law- not motoring law. Can you please direct me to where I can find some?

If you just ask your question on here we can try and ask it. If it's not a question you're comfortable asking on a public forum *at all*, you need to speak to a solicitor.

He did. It didn’t go well. So badly in fact that I simply deleted the thread entirely.
