From London Tribunals website:
Search again 1 Case(s) found Case Reference Date Registered Surname Forename Company Enforcing Authority PCN PCN Location Latest Outcome Date Outcome 2180241770 19/06/2018 - - London Borough of Barnet London Borough of Barnet AG9039961A - 28/06/2018 Appeal allowed Does this mean a LBB vehicle was issued a ticket by LBB, that was then appealed, refused and taken to tribunal for the appeal to be upheld? How much did this cost them??? EDIT: I went further into the site: ETA Register of Appeals Register Kept Under Regulation 20 of the Road Traffic (Parking Adjudicators)(London) Regulations 1993, as amended or Paragraph 21 of the Schedule to the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (England) Representations and Appeals Regulations 2007, as applicable Case Details Case reference 2180241770 Appellant London Borough of Barnet Authority London Borough of Barnet VRM GL63 ATU PCN Details PCN AG9039961A Contravention date - Contravention time - Contravention location - Penalty amount N/A Contravention - Referral date Decision Date 28 Jun 2018 Adjudicator By Order of the Chief Adjudicator Appeal decision Appeal allowed Direction EA to cancel the Penalty Charge Notice Reasons The Enforcement Authority has informed me that they will not contest your appeal against the Penalty Charge Notice(s) mentioned above. The Chief Adjudicator has therefore allowed your appeal without considering your evidence or any details of the case. You are not liable for any further charge(s) and, where appropriate, any amounts already paid will be refunded by the Enforcement Authority. From London Tribunals website:.........Does this mean a LBB vehicle was issued a ticket by LBB, that was then appealed, refused and taken to tribunal for the appeal to be upheld? ……….. Not quite. It means that the case went all the way to LT and then LBB decided not to contest. FFS, if it is a council employee playing fast an loose with a "company" vehicle and contravening traffic laws then not only take it all the way but also invoke disciplinary procedures for bringing the council into disrepute. If it was a council bod copped unfairly or with excuse/exemption, then cancel early. Bet Mr M was watching this one |

So instead of accepting the appeal and costing pennies they chose to reject, it went to tribunal were they offered no evidence and had to pay....

In these days of "outsourcing" council services, it is entirely possible that this was a contractors vehicle on council business and the CEO didn't know.
Probably only got as far as LT because the outsourced parking dept. wanted to hit their target and the outsourced road menders didn't want to pay. |

Well I've asked for the reps and rejections in full so we're going to find out.
