I received the attached 50r notice (my vehicle marked with red dot). However I did not complete the turn fully as I performed a U turn at the mounh of the entrance to join the opposite flow of traffic (going upwards in photo) from where I was travelling (going downwards).
Do I have grounds to appeal this? Thanks This post has been edited by tommy12345: Wed, 17 Jan 2018 - 11:38 |

For some reason you've obliterated all the info that we need.
Just hide the car reg and the PCN number. |

The only really key issue is not to identify the driver in private tickets.
This is not an issue in councils tickets but it's wise to just hide the car reg as it's a public forum. Use a pic site for pics - eg Flickr or Imgur. Reinstate the dates - these are key. This post has been edited by stamfordman: Wed, 17 Jan 2018 - 11:39 |

dates are key in checking the PCN.
The video will be key to checking the contravention - is it on online? I can't recall if Havering puts them up. |

Date of contravention 21/12/2017
Date of this Notice: 05 January 2018 It does state I can view footage online however when I log in there are two photographs only, one of them is the same as on the PCN and the other is just a close up of the number plate. There isn't any video footage. This post has been edited by tommy12345: Wed, 17 Jan 2018 - 11:54 |

I took one look at the PCN to much is redacted so we do not know what we are working with.
Redact only your name and address and the reg number. Absent the video (which you need to get either online or by calling them) the orientation of the car in the video might give us clues The first thing i saw was that the date by which you need to make payment is wrong a winner of its self -------------------- All advice is given freely. Apologies I am not sure how much to disclose to prevent authorities from identifying.
I logged onto the online system at Havering however as mentioned no video footage is available. Will I need to make a separate inquiry for this? This instructions stated video footage should be available using the link provided and Web Code however that isn't the case. |

The council already has all your details from DVLA and nothing can save them from us spotting statutory flaws with their PCNs. If you PM me the login details I'll double check about the video - some browsers don't work on some council sites. |

Dear stamfordman
I have sent you a private message with the details to view online. I tried a different browser and still didn't find video footage. |

Yes there is no video. I've downloaded the pic which shows you seemingly turning into a side road so the video is what they'll have to have to show a complete contravention. I would email or call them and ask if they can put the video up.

I have tried to contact the traffic control team but it is all automated messaging. The only other option is the service centre at the council however that is just a kiosk computer.
I only turned in to perform a U turn, not to enter the area to the right. |

I only turned in to perform a U turn, not to enter the area to the right. So you turned right out of western road into the side road. But did you commit a contravention. ( no right turn) that is not the contravention as listed. Not strong on its own but with other errors? Post ALL pages of the PCN -------------------- All advice is given freely. To clarify, I turned right to perform a U turn. I didn't pass more than say 1m at most into the area beyond the public footpath depth to U turn.
What is the date error and will that alone be sufficient? |
