PCN Code 01 Parked in restricted street during prescribed hours... no signs? Options

Hi all,

Ive searched the other topics and couldn't find what i was looking for so apologies if this is already out there. PCN from Maidstone Borough Council for Code01 - Parked in restricted street during prescribed hours. I was parked on a single yellow line but have appealed this PCN as the restricted parking sign for this is no where near where i parked and not visible ( approx. 15m away). The council have responded saying i have questioned the validity of the signs and have such done an inspection which they say are correct and in line with regulations. My question is, how far away can the sign be to conform with regulations or does there even need to be a sign due to there already being single yellow lines?

A single yellow must be signed either by a controlled zone entry sign or by a timeplate sign on the line. If you see a yellow line you do need to work out when it is controlled but signage must be clear and accessible.

15m away does not sound too great and certainly within guidance.... every 30m IIRC.
But depends on other things as well as distance.
PCN, correspondence and streetview location please
