Hello everybody.
I received a Nip on the 22nd of Jan this year for speeding.
The speed was not disclosed on the NiP it just said exceeding the speedlimit.
I completed the Nip in 28 days with my information and returned it 1st class recorded.
I have not heard anything back and it’s been longer than 6 months. I have just been informed I have a court summons that arrived this morning. The summons is for failing to respond to the Nip, but i have a recorded delivery slip to prove I posted the nip back to the police within the time scales given. I have checked the royal mail system and it’s gone missing in the post, never arrived at intended recipient address.

Now it’s going to go to court so what can I do?

Same NIP as this thread that also went missing. Dates seem slightly diferent, but very unlucky if two NIP replies went missing?

Did you check the RM system at the time?
