I haven't read through it all or gone down through the onion skins but the Traffic Management Act 2004 has a section dealing with fixed penalty offences under the Highways Act 1980. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2004/18/section/64 Mick Can't seem to find anything of help here. Additionally, the police force in question seem to be relying on s.303 explicitly, whereas this section would seem to not require the use of s.303, as s.303 appears to be a catch all for its act and child acts. |

The freemen of the scamera-lands are piping up about this insanity again:
https://twitter.com/WMP_CEU/status/994124281490694145 QUOTE You're quite right. It isn't an offence to someone that is there lawfully hence the subtle hint of 'a person acting under the execution of the highway act 1980'. We are there for a reason. To save lives...... Is it worth officially complaining about this? Or should I not care, go outside and enjoy somewhat fresh air? I've spent a few hours looking at the legislation again and I still can't figure out how they've managed to connect these dots |

It's the usual self-righteous BS so typical of their kind (and poorly written too).
"What do you do for a job?" "I SAVE LIVES!!!!" [Goes out and sits in the back of a van for hours] But to answer your two questions: "no" and "yes". -------------------- Moderator

It almost looks like a troll account but it appears instead to just be operated by someone very, very, very stupid. Effectively just self referential back patting written by a person that sounds to have some sort of cranial growth deformity.
Also they got a "Chief Constable Award" for this? Is this not just the job you would expect even a member of the public to do? As a nurse I quite often stop at the scene of accidents to give first aid and on occasion CPR. Thank god my employer doesn't run an awards ceremony every time. |

Yeah, it's definitely s.303 - their warbling on twitter is similar to what it says in the legislation, as well as confirmation via an FOI request I sent last year

That's simply made up!
How I wish we could use "Breaker" Morant's rule 303 sometimes........ (Yes I know that's obscure but it was a good film with a really great line). -------------------- There is no such thing as a law abiding motorist, just those who have been scammed and those yet to be scammed!
