Urgent!!
I received a PCN from Britannia’ for a local pub which had never had parking enforcements. There were no enforcements signs displayed at my time of arrival, yes admittedly there was a pay machine but without signs in place how was I to know whether it was up and running? I have received a PCN with a photo of my car demanding £60 within 14 days or £100 thereafter. Where do I stand if there were no signs displayed and how do I prove that when appealing? After I received the notice I went back down there and there was an officer in high vis placing signs around the whole car park! Help please!!!! |

Please edit your post to refer only to "the driver".
If there were no signs, there was no contract. Your problem will be evidence-related. How will you prove that the signs were not there when the driver parked? Your statement will be evidence, but will it be enough? Get statements from other people about when the signs went up. --Churchmouse |

Windscreen ticket or Notice to Keeper in the post
I'd be inclined to send immediate complaints to the British Parking Association and, if appropriate, the DVLA that Britannia has issued parking notices and/or applied for keeper details before erecting the signs |
