Hi All,

I've just been ticketed whilst on a single yellow line in high street.

I should have checked the signs to see if I was allowed to park - but I failed in this case. I was observed for 5 minutes - isn't it supposed to be longer?

I was parked behind saloon car in this picture - I have a very small car so I was neatly within the lines parked on the single yellow.

Here is a copy of the ticket

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

I've just been ticketed whilst on a single yellow line in high street.

Are you sure you weren't on the double yellow?

There are double kerb blips, so its No Loading as well as No Waiting where the double-yellows are, therefore if the OP was partly on the DYLs, a 5 minute observation time is reasonable. As DD says the sign for the bay is not very clear in GSV so we would need a photo, and also council photos of the contravention if there are any. GSV is April 2017, so restriction times could have changed.

Thanks everyone for the replies

I managed to get a hold of Slough Councils Parking Enforcement Policy. For Contravention Code 01 - the observation time is set to 5 minutes.

I think I'll just pay up.

I just wanted to add - the prescribed hours are 0800 to 2100 - so I was clearly there during the 'prescribed hours'

Thanks again everyone!
