Got a pcn today, I did pay with app but I thought I would post anyway just iin case. I ttried paying with coins a couple of times and machine didnt work. Meanwhile a parking inspector was hanging around. I went back to car paid via the app and went off. I still got a ticket strangely , I can only assume he didnt check id paid by app and took a chance, what a time waster I asume I just write to the council and show I paid with the app and thank them for wasting my time.

OP----whilst I read your travails with interest I must say you are in danger of being labelled a "serial offender". Wouldn't a TfL travel pass be cheaper?
If a CEO was hanging around, the time of the PCN and that of the PBP payment is critical given that you are allowed time to process the PBP transaction. It might not show up on his/her HHC for some time. Mick This post has been edited by Mad Mick V: Wed, 4 Apr 2018 - 17:06 |

Here you go, it says a different road but surely that would be a technicality, when I open the app thats the option it gave me and both roads are next to each other.

That should be OK provided there isn't another location number for Atherton Street. I just checked on Ringgo and their are 4 on Abercrombie and none for Atherton but I'm not happy if the system parks me on a road I'm not in. I take it the app geo-located you and you didn't check the machine for the location? Were you by the car when you did it? This post has been edited by stamfordman: Wed, 4 Apr 2018 - 19:50 |

Are you sure the number plate you put in is correct? The reason I ask is because the registration on your app comes back to a blue Ford with a SORN and no MOT, while the PCN says it's a black car, and the VRM on the PCN looks like it might be different.

Plate is coming up as a blue (not black) Ford so probably is OP's as he had parked before with it on the app.
But OP - it's been an MOT failure for a month. We worry about this. This post has been edited by stamfordman: Wed, 4 Apr 2018 - 22:35 |

Ive recently changed my car, so it is my mistake machine was not working so I used the app , it logged in without asking for reg which is obviously my fault. Lets see if they show any discretion but I doubt it.

Wandsworth policy is to cancel for a first error say with a pay and display ticket that's fallen off the dash.
If you bought a valid session for the wrong reg they may well cancel provided this is the first time. |

Lets see if they show any discretion but I doubt it. I would point out to them that your old car has a SORN, no MOT and (presumably) no insurance and obviously you wouldn't be driving around in a car that isn't meant to be on the road at all, in light of that it was an obvious mistake with the wrong registration number and there was no attempt to avoid payment. -------------------- If you would like assistance with a penalty charge notice, please post a thread on https://www.ftla.uk/index.php
