I was double flashed by a camera on the A371 in Devon. 60 (ish) in a temp 40 early evening unmanned road works.

My own car registered to me, same address for over 10 years

Happened 19th December - as of 19/1/22 I haven't received a NIP. I am assuming because of Christmas and new year the police decided they couldn't meet the 14 days so haven't bothered.

Is that a sensible conclusion?

Very likely it was a dummy flash and you don't need to worry.

I think it more likely that Christmas and New Year meant they couldn't meet the 14 days.

Sunday 19th day 14 would be Sunday 2nd Jan - I would have to received NIP Friday 31st Dec so it would have to be sent Wed 29th. 27th and 28th were bank holidays. So they in reality would have to process it in the 1st 5 days, which included Christmas eve - so I expect they were also short staffed that week.

Or as the roadworks were shutdown for the Christmas break then they were not following up.

Or just lucky!

To be honest the camera flash is enough to mend my ways!
