Hello, on Sunday I received a PCN for parking in a Loading Bay in Chiswick High Road. Total mistake on my part to properly read the post mounted sign which said it was a loading bay, but didn't specify dates/times (unlike the loading bay a few meters along the street where you can park on Sundays).
However, when I logged onto the Council website to look at the pictures associated with my ticket, it said there weren't any, and I notice that the CEO only observed it for a 3 minute period. The location isn't very specific either - it just says "Chiswick High Road". Could anyone advise whether any of these factors provide grounds for appeal? Many thanks |

Pics are not mandatory. Observation time is not mandatory. Location - you know where you were but it's a point that the keeper wouldn't if sent a notice to owner.
Post all the PCN and a google street view location link. Put pics on https://imgbb.com or such like. |

Hello StamfordMan, and anyone else who can help. Apologies for the delay, I had trouble getting the images.
This is the link to the street view location where I'd parked - it was a loading bay, but I failed to notice the post mounted sign, or the road markings (though the latter were obscured by a large puddle). It was either this bay - https://goo.gl/maps/AfqvLZ5Mndq8Uks39 or the one a couple of meters along - https://www.google.com/maps/@51.4928619,-0....3312!8i6656. I went back there, and I honestly can't remember which of these two bays it was, but unfortunately it was definitely a 24/7 hour bay, not one you could park in on Sundays. This is a link to the ticket - sorry, I can't work out how to get a direct picture on here: https://i.ibb.co/Xy6Cqcv/7-EDACA84-A8-CF-4-...-BE4-B8-EA2.jpg Thank you for any help or advice - the ticket doesn't give address details, and there are no pictures when I looked on the Council website, though I understand from what you have said previously, that there does not need to be any. If you PM the PCN details to me or stamfordman we can double-check for pics.

Hello there, I'm sorry I missed your post @cp8759
I'm stressed about paying within 14 days (or having to pay the full £110) and was about to settle the fine. My discount rate expires tomorrow (ticket was issued on 12th January). I'll PM you the PCN now. Many thanks, |

Well.. I checked the Council's website again, and there are now images that clearly show where my car is and the signage indicating that it is a loading bay. So my only course of action I think, is to pay, and next time double check the signage myself and not rely on someone else having done so. Thanks to those offering assistance

That was just standard wording by the looks of it @hcandersen:

You say there is another loading bay in the same street? "Chiswick high road" and the other bay allows parking on Sunday?
"Chiswick high road" Vague locus maybe? No pics may appear to suggest you could, on the face of it, have been in that other bay. Others may have comment. |

Hi @mickR
Yes, there's another loading bay just meters away that does allow Sunday parking. When I first checked the council website there were no pictures, but now there are, and it clearly shows that I parked in the 24/7 loading bay. so I don't think it's possible to successfully challenge this tbh. |
