Hi,

I have tried to google to find out what a case management hearing (deft to attend) means.

I have pleaded not guilty to a speeding offence and driving with improper insurance. the summons letter just states the reason for attending as case management hearing (deft to attend). Is it a trial or what?

It might be worth your while to get business use covered on your insurance, it is unlikely to be expensive and would avoid future difficulties of this nature.

Quite often the lowest class business use insurance (ie travelling between different locations for business, but not sales people covering loads of miles) has no additional premium and they just need to know. Some insurers even include it as standard now.

Esure do (at least in my case), noticed it on my renewal and when I checked this years policy it had the same, I had never requested it either.
