FightBack Forums _ Completed Case Summaries _ PCN Debt sale withdrawal against Cardiff Council

Hello gents and ladies,

A while ago I posted here as I was receiving calls for payment from EXCEL, for a traffic infraction I'd heard nothing about.

I got in touch here, followed your guidance (contacting the council and filling in a TE9), and four weeks later, I have revived a letter from the courts that Cardiff have been made to withdraw their sale of the debt to EXCEL and re-issue the PCN.

They've done so, and I now have the evidence I wanted from EXCEL or Cardiff council, which they would not supply before.

It appears from the very grainy picture, that I did go through a bus lane on the date in question (9 months ago at this point!) so I'll be paying the fine, but at the cose of £35, not the £115 I was being charged by the debt collection agency.

Thanks for all your help!

I wanted to link the original post, but I couldn't find it.

Josh.

I'm not a council parking guru but, from what I have seen about Cardiff PCNs, they may have a few errors. It's worthwhile posting your new PCN on your existing thread to see what the team think before you pay it.

If you post up the PCN in the live cases forum we can look at whether it can be cancelled altogether.
