I've received a PCN for reversing into a no entry road.

My issue is that I didn't see the signage, and after seeing the footage, I only entered the no entry section of the road by a vehicle length, in order to manoeuvre away from my parked location (backwards).

What advice can you give? Do you have an argument, considering I only partly entered this section of no entry residential road? See pic.

I dont have long to query this PCN from my local council and would appreciate any help. TIA.

Post the PCN and the video. This will hopefully be appealable on the basis of a trivial driving manoeuvre. The video is crucial.

Also give is a google street view link of location.

Put pics on https://imgbb.com or such like.

Put videos on Youtube, Imgur or such like.

How do I add the PCN for you to see?

I will upload a vid of the manoeuvre later today.

We need a copy in a resolution that we can actually read.

Could you confirm the legislation written on top of the PCN...photo with your bit of paper removed please.
The date of posting...critical if we are to keep track of timing.
And that the first photo shows your van before the No Entry sign and the second reversing into the street we can see at the Tee Junction ???

The video seems to be cut off, and taking a video of a video is never ideal. Either PM me the PCN details, or use this https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/f...jenkahhlhccpdbc to download the original video file from the council website.

I suggest you show us what's printed on the back, as well as any other pages.

The back just shows the appeals process.

From what you've seen, do I have an argument for this pcn?

Maybe half of all appeals (if not more) are won on technical grounds, typically where the appeals process is not described correctly on the back of the PCN. Although it might just look like standard text to you, there's a reason why we ask to see it.

As for what we've seen, I have no idea because you've not shown us the full video.

The video is all I have...

I was parked on the kerb side, outside of the no entry area, then pull forwards in order to reverse backwards in order to leave. In doing so, I enter the no entry area by a metre or two, not even by the entire length of the van.

???
Video starts with the van half out/into a parking space.
Pulls forwards completely out of the space.
Reverses back, past the No Entry sign and continues reversing to the tee junction.
Some two to three van lengths past the sign.
Video stops

Are we looking at the same video ?
Or am I missing something?

OP, you reversed the whole length in order to avoid having to take an alternative route.

Even the incomplete video shows this clearly. Glad I wasn't a vehicle turning into the road seeing your reversing light coming towards me.

A traffic order would refer to banning vehicles, irrespective of whether these were driving forwards or backwards.

No entry for vehicular traffic

Unless there are technical defences, pay the discount.

That's exactly right. I was parked, pulled forward, reversed backwards.

The video goes on by an extra ten seconds to show me reverse into the side street before the busy t-junction behind me.

The footage literally starts with me pulling out of the parking space. I had been parked for approx 30 mins.
