Four of my favourite quotes that had me in stitches!!!
It's reading prose and banter of this quality that has kept me glued to this website instead of getting on and fixing things about the house........ priceless 1. CJM99 QUOTE Despite our jaundiced view of Magistrates, compassion is not uncommon. 2. Chadders (My overall winner )Now to be 'jaundiced again'. The compassion is simply another way they feed their egos. mars wrote: (In response to a member who had returned a fully signed NIP/172 form before finding Pepipoo) QUOTE done well so far Chadders wrote: QUOTE really? which forums have you been reading then? edit: or more likely, how many of your "Book of Completely Useless Advice to 'Getting Off Speeding Tickets'" have you sold on ebay 3. Andy_Foster QUOTE There is a cunningly hidden post entitled "READ THIS FIRST". See if you can find it 4. Shelby QUOTE Thamesvalley has trouble working me out, he should read Ol paul's posts............ Like watching a monkey trying to kick a football. Anyone else got their personal favouites This post has been edited by broadsword: Mon, 9 Jan 2006 - 17:35 |

Chadders referring to Jossydee:-
QUOTE Marvin says: Advice from mars to Andy Foster:-"JoshyDee, I could calculate your chances of success ... but you won't like it" note: completely against character, but for my sake and others I can see other posts ending up here! QUOTE You have a pm from you know who treat with utmost caution Andy Replied :- QUOTE Mars, Followed by Rallymans observation :-Thankyou. Being somewhat new to the site, and having no experience dealing with the prosecuting authorities, I am grateful for your much needed counsel. QUOTE Mars - do you see the number under posts? - Well that is the number of posts Andy has made - do you see his joining date? Do you see the star and word member - he has paid to join up in the members forum. Well just compare them with your own and try and draw a conclusion...... Grandmother, eggs, teaching, suck, to ........ Cracked me up this one -------------------- When Stephen Hawking guest starred on the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Descent", he was taken on a guided tour of the set. Pausing in front of the warp core set piece, he remarked, "I'm working on that".

Not exactly a quote, more of an Obituary.

" and I will take my ball home and rescind my membership Regards Ducks for cover -------------------- When Stephen Hawking guest starred on the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Descent", he was taken on a guided tour of the set. The Moderators: "One case, one thread."
When I'm 90 and a gibbering wreck in an old peoples home, that'll be me sat in the corner repeating that over and over again!! However, my overall favourite was andy_foster's rather dry posting... QUOTE ("firefly on his unfortunate accident...") Hi all, Rather than reply individually to members on here who'd PM'd me, I thought I'd write in to apologise for not getting back to you all. I have unfortunately been in hospital for the last 2-weeks after being involved in a motorbike incident (not my fault) in which my right foot sustained a serious injury (could have been a lot worse). I've undergone a reconstructive operation and skin graft and hope to be back up and running in the not too distant future. I'll be online periodically to try and answer your PMs but you'll have to bear with me as it ain't easy! Cheers for now. QUOTE ("andy_foster") How's the bike?

From Quattro talking about Magistrates and ACPO guidelines

QUOTE AIUI, it's broadly similar to an ordinary trial, except that the verdict has been decided (sorry, it's broadly similar to an ordinary trial).

Nominee : Teufel
Topic : What will thay attack next ... Quote : "tough on doormats and tough on the causes of doormats " URL : http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=132490 Rating : 5 stars History : Finally, the Daily Mail reports on a danger lurking in a block of apartments in Bristol. But never fear, says the paper, a vigilant council is about to wipe it out. The danger in question is the doormat. And council officials have ruled that they are "a tripping hazard". So from next Monday, they're banned. A council spokesman says, apparently with a straight face: "This is not a new policy. But on a recent inspection we discovered that some mats had crept back." -------------------- "... and if I may put it to you, sometimes weasel words are used so that unless you ask the right question, you don't get the answer.
