Hi all,

Thankfully it’s been a long time since I was last here but sadly I need some advice again.

I received a private parking charge notice today from ipark services of cockermoth regarding an apparent no stopping infringement in Cromwell road Penrith. At first I was left scratching my head over this one as the only time my car ever goes to Penrith is a flying visit to McDonald’s on its way south down the m6.

I’ve attached the letter they have sent and a screenshot from google earth with the McDonald’s circled and a line showing where I think I stopped to put in the sugars.

I’ve never even heard of a no stopping notice in a private scenario to be honest. Any thoughts and comments appreciated.

Hello all,

I am acting for a family member who was on holiday in the area as I have successfully been through this process, albeit it a while ago, with a successful result.

Given Capriman's success (which came after my failure) is it worth re-appealing to i-Park with similar wording (which I know is not something that should usually be done) or should I just go to the next stage with the IAS?

This is new territory for me as a very little known PCC and an IPC one at that.

Thanks.

As per the forum rules, start a new thread for your own query - otherwise it quickly becomes extremely confusing and ad advice may be given.

Apologies, of course.

I have even confused myself as I did just that on MSE and thought I had done it on here!

Thanks
