It was amusing (sorry for that, it was unprofessional) to see women who had never been professionally questioned in their lives before, being shown to be either stupid, or liars, or both.

It’s one of my favourite things in court. The dawning realisation on their face, the desperate glances at prosecution counsel, the sinking posture, the reddening face, then the fear of the looming judicial comment of “not a witness of truth” or even perjury. Delicious!

Now I see exactly why you're the moderator here.
That is exactly, precisely, unequivocally what happened.
I had to look away or I'd have laughed out loud.
It was disgraceful, actually.
The woman was paid a lot of money out of all our taxes, yet she wilted under NF's unrelenting cross examination.
Thank you, SP. I don't think I've ever said that before, but you brought the exact feeling back to me.

Different context but I attended a planning application appeal, it’s rare for a third party to attend but it was right next to my house. About the best I can separate for the guy representing the council was he was smartly dressed, other than that he was ill prepared and pretty clueless, but then I doubt the council paid him a tenth of what the multi millionaire paying for the appeal was paying for his representatives.

What I can't understand is why he didn't link his phone to the car via Bluetooth so he can use hands-free. I can't see a Bentley being without this facility.

Yes, even my Dacia has built in Bluetooth!
