Hi,
I've been reading the posts for Vehicle Control Services Ltd and Doncaster Airport but they all appear quite a few years old so hence a new thread. A registered keeper has been receiving the usual threatening letters from the usual suspects for stopping on the road on the close by industrial estate. The reason for pulling up briefly was to close an open door, so therefore an emergency. A brief stop of seconds but of course the dreaded white van appeared. The keeper has been following the old, widely used advice of ignore. However the 'LETTER BEFORE CLAIM' has arrived and our keeper is of a very nervous disposition and is not well. Therefore, so I can put the keepers mind to rest and get some advice, is it still the advice to ignore, wait for court papers (if they ever arrive) or are things different these days? Many, many thanks for your input. This post has been edited by SkipO: Mon, 6 Aug 2018 - 14:39 |

Who has sent the LBC?
This is your chance to ask for all the paperwork they intend to rely on in court, this includes contract with the land owner. |

Are you sure that it is actually a properly constructed letter before claim? or is it just a threatogram?

Do I not wait for the actual Court Claim first? No. A LBC should not be ignored. Indeed, the current debt PAP allows for specific requests and timelines. -------------------- RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver
PoFA=Protection of Freedoms Act, SAC=Safety Awareness Course, NIP=Notice of Intended Prosecution, ADR=Alternative Dispute Resolution PPC=Private Parking Company, LBCCC=Letter Before County Court Claim, PII=Personally Identifiable Information Private Parking - remember, they just want your money and will say almost anything to get it. |

The whole lot of paperwork that has been received should not have been ignored. Bad advice.
Is the original paperwork still available? If not you request it and then post it up here. |

Still got lots of the paperwork. The person in question is a poorly person and highly nervous and followed old advice and hid this from me until now. I'll upload the paperwork. Many Thanks

I've tried to upload some attachments but I can't see them. Also it has put a limit on my upload so can't upload all the letters. Any advice?

Upload them to TinyPic and simply post the links on here instead of the images.

Can you paste the [IMG] tags to this thread please. Trying to open Photobucket through all their spam is very off putting. That's why we suggest TinyPic; it's a lot more forum friendly.

My popup blocker works on photobucket but those images on their website are truncated and unreadable, and they no longer allow forum {img} tags unless you give them $600 so use Tinypic.

Its not a proper LBA as it does not meet the PAP requirements but will have to be responded to.
On the original NTK what was the date of contravention, issue date and the date received through the letterbox. |

Is the road at the industrial estate part of the airport land?
If it is, you might be interested in my post on the Completed Case Summaries forum. It's the one called "Birmingham Airport - I made APCO wind their necks in", and I explain how I beat a claim against my step-daughter when she stopped on a road at Birmingham airport. |
