Hi all
Received 2 fines! on Wednesday at 10:35 and then Thursday 11:06, picked the car on Friday '27 Parked in a special enforcement area, adjacent to a footway, cycle track, or verge lowered to the level of the carriageway' 1. arrived home very tired at 2am and there was no other space on my street 2. checked the blue car had sufficient space to get out of their driveway (it did because when i picked my car, it was gone. you can see on the pictures) 3. I could not move any more further towards the front because there was another car there that night! 4. I did not realise I will be fine for this! If I would I wouldn't park there although kind of had no choice and did not realise how much of my wheel was on the lower verge part 5. I see people parking constantly on the street and their cars sticking out onto a yellow line or curbs! I do not understand why I got 2 notices and if the neighbour reported it?! What arguments could I use? if any... https://imgur.com/a/3A55Qzs - first 3 pics are mine (Friday today), last 3 are council's |

Residents often call council on their precious dropped kerbs.
If car hadn't moved you should be able to get the second PCN cancelled as a continuous contravention. The DK is very wide and extends to their path as well as drive but probably won't get you off this one totally. This post has been edited by stamfordman: Fri, 12 Oct 2018 - 19:28 |

Thanks!
The car has not moved There was plenty of space, and as you see they managed to leave the drive in! Today when I was parking nearby, the blue car from the picture in the drive in, was parked where my black VW was parked (on the main street) with the driveway being empty! This is a street with a school on it as well, parking is an issue. And often after 7/8pm there are no more spaces left! People are trash |

Photos show you are bang-to-rights but if car was there continuously only a single PCN should have been issued. Maybe the house owner complained twice ! CEOs will not want to get into an argument with the resident on the second ocasion, so will just whack-out another PCN for a quiet life. Council should cancel the second on "continuous contravention" basis. They could, of course, have towed you away, so best park more carefully in future.
They may, of course, refuse to cancel the 2nd PCN in which case you'll have to take them to adjudication with the full PCN penalty in play. This post has been edited by Incandescent: Fri, 12 Oct 2018 - 19:53 |

I know I am at fault (which I didn't realise before... about the rules). I am just surprised I got 2 notices!
Croydon Council does not tow away |

If I have 2 PCN and want to challenge, and cancel the 2nd as continous contravention, do i have to send letter for both? Or just the first one?
(not actually send the letter, login to each PCN account I meant) This post has been edited by Natalia: Tue, 16 Oct 2018 - 12:04 |

Show us the rear of the PCN, there may be a fatal flaw.
