Hello all,

A PCN was recieved due to the driver not realising there were restrictions due to very poor signage.

The driver parked the drivers wifes car in the car park of a closed business off London Road in Nottingham (there were other vehicles present too) when the driver returned an hour later a pcn was on the window.

The driver genuinely did not realise there were any parking restrictions untill the driver noticed a sign that was approximately A3 size but with very small writing barely legible from more than 4ft away.

The driver seemed to remember that there was a guide to putting an appeal together for such a thing the driver just wondered if anyone had any advice on what should be stated when completing the apeal.

many thanks

Thank you guys, how does this sound?

Dear Sirs,

I am contacting you in response to parking charge notice serial number 2212315 received on 27/7/20.

I am appealing as the keeper of said vehicle registration number Y*****

I visited the site of the alleged breach and could not see signage that could possibly hold the driver liable.

You still need to edit post one from which it can be easily inferred who was driving.

Should I include the keepers home address on the letter?
