Hi everyone
I received a PCN for parking in havelock place HA1 1LA on a road with no yello lines and there was no signage or anything to show I was not allowed to park!! This is what I wrote to them to appeal it:
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I parked on a side road with NO single NOR double yellow line and NO restriction signage next to it.
only a no loading sign is on the OPPOSITE side of the road!!! which doesn’t say any thing about both sides of road.
Please cancel this PCN as I parked on a normal road with no restrictions and no alleged contravention occurred!!
Thanks
But it was rejected explaining that i parked in a restricted Zone and I passed the sign which was in the beginning of the road!
I will upload all the related pictures.
Please help me with this and tell me if I have a chance to win if I formally challenge it?

Thankssss a lot

Best post the council pics, but if this sign and the location is accurate, I don't fancy your chances

Single vehicle entrance into Havelock Pl from Greenhill which, according to GSV, is marked with 2 compliant RPZ gateway signs placed at a sufficient distance from the junction to enable them to be read by an alert driver. There are numerous repeater signs within the area.

Given the above, I cannot see any realistic prospect of disputing the contravention based on the OP's account.
