My brother in law was was disqualified from driving last month during a court hearing. At the time of the offence (In Oct 2017) he already had 9 points on the license and was caught doing 88/70
6 points came off at the end of 2017. So he is currently on 3 points + the 6 month ban. He did not really prepare for his initial hearing hence the outcome. But submitted an appeal to the magistrates court and CPS. The magistrates court has contacted him and asked him to attending an hearing for the application to suspend disqualification. Is this normal to have a hearing to suspend the disqualification? What evidence should he take with him (Employers letter etc?) Will another hearing take place after this one to discuss the disqualification? Also he will be representing himself as as cannot afford to pay for legal representation. |
