Hi
I received a PCN through the post from Newham Council with a Date of Notice 10/07/2019. Contravention date was 30/06/2019. Evidences on Newham's website only had pictures but no CCTV footage. I sent a letter to the council on the 12/07/2019 asking to see the CCTV footage as i was not sure an offence was commited solely by the pictures provided as evidence. Having not received any response to my letter after a month, I called the council and was told they received my representation letter on the 15/07/19, my case was on hold and that i should receive a written response from them within 56 days. The response letter 'Notice of rejection' was receive on 14/09/2019 dated 11/09/2019 (59 days after they claimed to have received my letter). At the bottom of the letter, they ask me to email them them requesting for the CCTV footage. Now i have 2 questions: - if i request the CCTV footage, is my case still on hold i.e. do i still have the 14 days reduced fine? - can I contest this 'notive of rejection' base on the fact that they did not respect the 56 days limit rule? Pictures provided by Newham, PCN and notice of rejections are attached. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. many thanks Zina

Which of the potentially offending cars is yours? I'm guessing at the left of the two silver cars that is behind the black one?
Did you submit any sort of appeal at all when asking for the video? This post has been edited by The Rookie: Mon, 16 Sep 2019 - 09:16 -------------------- There is no such thing as a law abiding motorist, just those who have been scammed and those yet to be scammed!

56 days is for responding to formal reps to a parking PCN. Yours is a moving traffic PCN and this limit does not apply.
If you want the video email them now and see if it comes quickly. |

my car is the one of the left. In my letter i stated that the 2 cars entering the yellow box are similar and registration number plates blurry and were not sifficient evidence for teh offence hence why the request to see teh CCTV footage. |

The CCTV will be on the council website, we need to see the video.
