Hi
I received a letter from tfl that I need to pay 195 for parking in red route. I remember that day going to pick up something from a shop and the seller told me to park there because it fine. As you can see from the picture attached on tfl website there’s no pcn attached to the windshield so basically I didn’t know anything about this until I received the letter attached. My mistake was I didn’t look at the for any signage. There’s any way to challenge this fine? |

Sounds like a postal PCN that went missing. You need to wait for the Order for Recovery to arrive and then file a witness statement saying that the original PCN or Notice to Owner was never received, this will reset the process and TFL will issue a new PCN or NtO. The process is explained here: https://www.londontribunals.gov.uk/eat/unde...ment-process#ws

Is the address on the charge certificate completely correct.

The address is the right one. The question is why they didn’t put the pin in the windshield to avoid all of this? In their picture you can see clearly that they never stick the pcn. Should I do a late challenge?

Should I do a late challenge? TFL is allowed to issue parking PCNs by CCTV as well as on the windscreen. The usual procedure is as CP says but there's nothing stopping you calling them and saying you didn't get the PCN to see if they'll shortcut the process. |

I suggest stick to process, step outside the procedure and good things might happen, but so might bad

The photos suggest this was a roadside PCN but until the case has been reset, it hardly matters to be honest. Once TFL serves either an NtO or a postal PCN we'll know what we're dealing with.

OP along repost the photos but leave in the date stamp details -------------------- All advice is given freely. It is given without guarantee and responsibility for its use rests with the user

I wondered too. Perhaps the OP hasn't told us everything. "Picking someone up" Taking over half an hour? -------------------- |

In their picture you can see clearly that they never stick the pcn. Should I do a late challenge? Because you got into the car and drove away as they were taking the pictures. We can see your head in the last picture and the brake lights are on. Which is not the end of the world. If TFL sent you a postal PCN, the discount will be reinstated. If it sent you an NtO, that was unlawful and getting the penalty cancelled should be reasonably straightforward. -------------------- If you would like assistance with a penalty charge notice, please post a thread on https://www.ftla.uk/index.php
