Hello, I received two PCNs for parking on consecutive days (I didn't move the car so it was a continuous contravention) last week. I was parked on a private piece of land that is marked as private and it has a sign as you go in explaining that there is a £100 parking fine if you breach any t&c, 'see signs on all roadways' for details. I have parked here before and looked around for the signs that set out the t&c and not been able to find them, and it's been okay before. I assumed that there were no t&c and the notice was therefore used as discouragement. However having receiving my two PCNs I realise that is not the case.
I thought I could appeal as it is a continuous contravention but having found the t&c it states that the period of offence renews every 24 hours. But I wondered if there is any guidance on how clear the t&cs should be? They are not to be found near the place that I parked, and are on another road in the same area a little walk away. They are on small signs that are placed high up (you couldn't read them from a car), and the t&c are in small print that I can barely read (when I photographed the sign, a few times to adjust the resolution, that text is illegible in all the pictures). It seems unclear to me, and I know that others have parked in that area too because it has been unclear to them what the terms are (it's permit parking).

I realise that the sign as you go into the area marking out the private land is clear, however, and of course I should not have parked there. But I wondered if there are guidelines on signage for the t&cs? It is probably not worth me questioning and I don't want to cause bother.

I haven't uploaded the PCNs because I paid them both in a panic and I didn't think they would be useful here.

My other question is about whether I can call the company to check if I have any other PCNs from that same period that have been removed by passersby? This has happened to me before and one of my PCNs was opened when I found the car. Is this an admittance of further breach and could they then charge me retrospectively, or would they just be able to confirm yes or no either way?

Thank you!
