Hi All,
I received a PCN from Croydon Council for code 38L. However, I have a couple of issues with this, and so I will be very grateful for your thoughts: 1. The PCN and online evidence does not show any actual image of the alleged contravention. 2. The road signage indicates that such a turn is possible Please see below the PCN, and the online evidence does not provide any video, only the two images in the PCN. Here is a link to the street view: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.3846517,-...6384!8i8192 Do I have any chance of a successful appeal? Many thanks in advance for your thoughts. |

Thanks for the replies CP and Past. I'll do some research and see if it's worth arguing the PCN timing not being exact. It seems maybe the arrow isn't such a strong argument since the other road signs were still there.

It's not just the timing.
That slip road is still blocked off --- as seen in the video. So the Council expects you to go down that road because that is what the signage says even though it is impossible to do so. The contravention is "Failing to comply with a sign indicating that vehicular traffic must pass to the specified side of the sign (Must pass to the left). This is Wednesbury Unreasonableness in full and farcical flow if they say you must proceed down that road but they have blocked it off. Mick |
