Thanks Starworshipper12, tried the additional questions again with errors so posting it all here...

HADECS3 camera images 5.58pm 18/08/2018, charge of exceeding a variable speed limit, 66mph in 40 limit. Dry road conditions, relatively light traffic & clear visibility for a good distance. Long drive home after family funeral & visit to my really poorly dad; I simply didn't register the red circle around the variable speed limit from 60 to 40 until too late - slowed along with nearby traffic and was expecting to see a possible incident up ahead, which of course there wasn't... There's no excuse for speeding, I was preoccupied, total stupidity & not applying full concentration.

Any constructive advice can only help:

I'm facing @ 6 points, hefty fine & possible disqualification 7-56 days is that correct? (No previous convictions, clean driving licence). Disqualification could be a nightmare to maintain work & get kids to/from school/clubs. Single parent, no family or nearby friends to help, limited bus services & using taxi's would be a massive cost...

Would a “guilty 'I do not want to come to court'” plea instead of 'guilty I want to come to court' be detrimental? Only considered not going as the public transport journey (in case of disqualification) would be interesting.

Had ruled out getting a barrister on cost - rethink this or at least get legal advice/barrister help with statement to magistrate?

'What do you want the magistrate to consider when making a decision about your guilty plea' – probably not admitting I was preoccupied - would setting out the circumstances of the journey & personal situation assist my case? As I said it’s my own fault, just looking for the best way to get a handle on this without losing my job or kids missing school.
