I have received a TfL Red Route PNC for parking contravention 46: Stopped where prohibited (on red route or clearway) in Meadowcourt Road SE3 at 12:43 on 9th Nov. 2018. The date of the notice is 16/11/18. I don’t dispute that I stopped there. My question relates to the red route road markings. As per the attached pictures the road markings have been warn away at the point where I was parked. Does this give me valid grounds to appeal the PNC and what would be the appropriate wording for the appeal? Additionally, is there any additional information that I need to provide the forum with to come up with an appropriate response to my question above?

Those red lines look "substantially compliant".
IMHO, if your argument is "i saw the red lines but also saw a 6 foot length where they had worn, and assumed i could park there", i suspect you'll fail. Post up all sides of PCN. -------------------- |

I cannot see a win here - as Peterguk said, the lines look to be "substantially compliant" and "convey the meaning".
Unless the PCN has a fatal flaw, paying at the discount may be the best option. |
