Hi, first post - I did a search for any other relevant threads but couldnt find anything.
Received a PCN back in December 2016 for performing a left turn into the John Lewis car park in Cardiff. There was a no left turn sign but I assumed it was for the street immediately prior to the car park and not the car park itself. Haybes Bridge Road is a one way street and traffic is usually buses, taxis and Hotel traffic. I was coming from the Marriot hotel and wanting to do some christmas shopping so turned into the car park, I am struggling to find any reason at all why there would be a prevention for traffic to turn into the car park. The image that I have been sent shows my vehicle turning left but only shows one no left turn sign, on the left side of the road. After I originally challenged the PCN, the council have since sent another image showing that there are no left turn signs on both sides of the road. In the councils rejection of representations letter there is a constant reference to the regulatory signs - am I right in thinking that on a one way street wide enough for two vehicles that the signs must be present on both sides of the road? If so can I challenge this with the adjudicator? Any help appreciated Thanks |
