Hi Guys,

Any help anyone could offer would be great.

This may be an open and shut case as I was parked on a double yellow line, but the contravention that has been broken is apparently "Parked in a restricted street during prescribed hours"

The PCN was served at 7:38 a.m but the streets prescribed hours are 8.00 a.m. until 18:00 p.m. I appreciate I was in the wrong as I was on a double yellow but do I have an argument base on the fact that I haven't broken the stated contravention as the prescribed hours do not start until 8:00 am.

I was only there for 10 minutes to drop off my aunts prescription before work.

Any feedback would be great.

Many thanks
S

Double yellow lines are 24/7 you are likely looking at signs for the parking bays

Yes I guess you are right. Should the Contravention not be called something else thoe ?

Do you think I would be best just paying it IYO?

Many thanks

Although it seems that this is the case here, and in the vast majority of situations, there are still many double yellows around with time-plates. Many examples on the south coast, such as here.

Yeah the regs changed with the TSRGD 2016 and a part time restriction like that would now be signd with a SYL but the councils do not need to remove them until they need replacing

I was only there for 10 minutes to drop off my aunts prescription before work.

?

I was delivering my aunt's prescription to her;
I was delivering my aunt's prescription request to the pharmacy/doctors' surgery?

The prescription comprised what as a load?

DYL allow delivering, but subject to limits.

So pl tell us the details.

You need to show us the PCN in full, especially the small print on the back. Many councils make mistakes in the small print that make the PCN invalid.
