Hello,
First of all I would like to apologise if this is posted in the wrong place. I looked through all the areas and this seemed like the best place to post.
I drove by one of these this morning and I was wondering if it is a speed camera.
https://www.mindenpictures.com/search/preview/weather-station-with-these-are-not-speed-cameras-sign-garrowby-hill/0_80146365.html
I know what the sign says, however it had horizontal calibration lines after it.
Thank you for taking the time to read the post.
That is not a speed camera.
Thank you for your reply.
From digging online I found that these are weather cameras, however why would they have the calibration lines on the road.
Furthermore, there was a speed camera sign before it (a while back I admit) and ym radar detector started beeping when i got near it.
A weather station may have radar for cloud or prescipitation detection.
Should really be in tech discussion of enforcement devices I think.
You can click the ! report button at the bottom left of your first post and ask a mod’ to move it if you want.
Maybe there was once a speed camera at that location, and they have just used the same pole/site (think power).
