Please do not post personal details for obvious reasons - doing 38 in a 30 the road in question is a dual carriage way (ring road ) so assumed it was 40 as other parts are, however when ive gone back to check there are markings on the road that say 30 NIP Wizard Responses These were the responses used by the Wizard to arrive at its recommendation: Have you received a NIP? - Yes Are you the Registered Keeper of the vehicle concerned (is your name and address on the V5/V5C)? - No Is the NIP addressed to you personally? - Yes Although you are not the Registered Keeper, were you the keeper of the vehicle concerned (the person normally responsible for it) at the time of the alleged offence? - Yes Were you driving? - Unsure Do you know who was driving? - Unsure who was driving NIP Wizard Recommendation Based on these responses the Wizard suggested that this course of action should be considered:

No, you are in the territory of a Conditional Offer of a Fixed Penalty which will be £60 and 3 points on your license. How long have you held a full license for ? |

It may be worth doing some work now on the legality of the 30 limit.
Ask the council for a copy of any TRO for the road (one will be required for the 40 limits, the part were you were caught may have been a 40 at some point in which case another TRO would have been needed to make it back to a 30), they often contain errors. If you don't return it, you will earn 6 points and the accompanying consequences, together wih a hefty fine. Who else might have been driving? You know the date, time, location and direction.... What efforts have you made to determine who might have been driving? -------------------- |

doing 38 in a 30 the road in question is a dual carriage way (ring road ) so assumed it was 40 im not 100% sure if i were driving the vehicle ?? Perverting the course of justice will see you in prison! There is every likelihood of being offered a speed awareness workshop. |

I believe this is a totting up matter. The 9 points were active at time of offence. You'll have to go to court, local to the offence and plead exceptional hardship to retain your license. If you can't get this plea accepted and there is no offer of an awareness course, its a six month ban.
