I know the season is over but I just bought a 2007 Daytona 675.
Fun for next year (or any decent days in the meantime)

From the places you've mentioned, you must be relatively close to me.
Can I recommend Squire's cafe, at Sherburn in Elmet?
I go there pretty much every Thursday evening, when I'm in the UK and it's a great place.

Down towards Selby isn't it?

I'm a bit further north on Teesside.

We get lots of people coming down from Teesside, as the A1 is about a mile away from Sherburn. It's technically a suburb of Leeds.
On a typical summer Wednesday evening, there will be 500 to 1000 bikes there.
Thursdays tend to be for the classics. BSAs, Triumphs, Nortons, Matchlesses, AJSs along with Honda CBX and CB750. Kawasaki H1 and H2 along with Z1. Suzuki kettles and lots of RD Yamahas.

A bit late in the season now, but it will get busy again from April.

Despite doing a lot of trade from Bikers, from the Fs1e groups through to the Cruisers they actually had the place up for sale a couple of years back.Dunno if it did sell but likely didnt as its not full of new builds yet smile.gif

Always plenty to see there, some things you dont want to see but unfortunately idiots get everywhere.Im a just short blast away from there.

You're right:
http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.ph...fe-Bar-for-Sale
It was up for sale for £1.6m
Harry was the owner and he still goes there a lot. Amazing lifestyle, with his Bentley and (now sold) large helicopter.
It just shows what can be saved when folks take cash in hand for coffee and pasties over the counter. No MPs' expenses to support.
There's camping, caravanning, bike shows, car shows and a shop selling helmets, leathers and suchlike.
What i do like is that you can go there, use all the facilities and not be pressured into spending a single penny.

I tend to do the Helmsley, Scarborough, Whitby circle or across to the Dales.

Fridaythorpe or Fimber then on to anywhere. I'm the very tall bearded one, usually on a 12r.

Yes, Seaways at Fridaythorpe is very nice.
Wetwang is always a talking point.
I'll look for a tall one on a 12R next time i go there, but the weather's deteriorating now.
Maybe next year.
