this looks looks really good, but looking through it always seems to reference very old letters. do these still work in 2018 or have camden council updated theirs? thanks in advance for any tips |

This is a TFL PCN, not a council one.
I entered the box when traffic was flowing, but on the other side of the box there are immediately traffic lights that fit 1 car, (SEE PIC). i couldnt see as there was a truck and the traffic lights have diffuses on. i have driven in london for 20+ years and never had a ticket for a yellow box. i would not chance it ever! This is set up to drive revenue only. There are so many people on here that have been caught on the same box. it such a set up. there is no where on the PCN that says anything about viewing a video or asking for one. TFL site has images, but they are shown on pcn. appreciate any ones help. found this from http://www.appealnow.com/parking-tickets/y...-box-junctions/ You should note that the Highway Code offers sensible advice about not entering the box junction if your exit is not clear but it is not mandatory and there is no penalty if you fail to follow this recommendation (but that failure could be used against you if there was an accident). The critical issue for the issuing of a ticket is if you entered the box junction and stopped in it due to the presence of stationary vehicles. That is the test. My argument: My exit was clear otherwise why would I drive into the box. This post has been edited by whatthehell99: Mon, 15 Oct 2018 - 09:19 |

From your description, the exit was not clear when you entered the box, merely that the traffic was moving. To avoid getting a PCN you have to be sure that you can cross the box without stopping, and the only way to be sure is not to enter until there is space to accept your vehicle on the other side.
However until we see the video, its impossible to give final advice. |
