Recently I've seen a few notices put on windows in different areas, mostly vans, but also the odd car asking to contact someone if they are interested in selling.
Seems like an odd way to go about things, feels vaguely dodgy- is it me being suspicious, some sort of scam, or just coincidence ? One thought was wanting reg numbers, but didn't see anything obviously desirable.

I have sold one car this way. I think it is often breakers after parts forum demand cars.

They certainly offered me a good price, I guess because they morethanmake their money back once stripped.

Certain models are worth a lot more in bits than as a whole car, if they are a specialist in a particular brand/model it’s probably a good way of getting cars to split.

I think its a great idea, and I've done it with no response to a an old Escort which sat outside my gaff for weeks.

Annoyingly I've since seen the car being driven and its a different person driving it, so I think the owner sold without paying any attention to my note sad.gif
