Just plating this here to see if the thing works properly with BB codes
It seems to be the site of choice for many members in the parking forum but I'm sick f having to click on multiple 'embed' links that result. So if this works and if you recommend it can we please explain to people how to post the 'kin BB codes. -------------------- |

I've been citing it all the time. If someone just posts a imgbb URL it's also easy to just pick up the BBcode and repost it embedded. Imgur has BBcode but you can't pick it up from someone else's account, only your own, as far as I can work out, so imgbb is best.
Reminds me again - I'll try and revise the draft sticky on how to post in the council section in the next few days. This post has been edited by stamfordman: Fri, 10 Jul 2020 - 18:48 |

I'm seeing 12+ individual embed codes in threads and, frankly, I stopped opening them a good while ago. Just tell them about the drop down list? -------------------- |

You have to bear in mind a lot of people are not good with these things and just getting the pics uploaded is a start. Actually another good feature of imgbb is that if you drop a batch of pics onto it you can copy all of the BBcodes in one click and paste them all here, although they may not be in the optimal order. |

Another good thing is that you don't have to sign up but it doesn't stop what I'm talking about being a pita. I'm no good with these things either but had it it been emphasised to me in the first place I'd have had more chance to get it right initially. As you may have noted, I still use your original recommendation Flickr because I find it straightforward now I understand it. But controls are image based so can be difficult to start, whereas imgbb couldn't be clearer; I got it first time. It's often important to be able to flick backwards and forwards to multiple images in one tab, e.g. I parked here; I said; They said; etc. rather than having to click across multiple tabs. The limitation I have to say is the old forum software that pepipoo runs on. Maybe the powers that be would think about moving to a platform where people can drop pics (like Facebook).

Or maybe the people perpetually whining about this could update the FAQ to reflect the current best hosting options?
