As far as I can remember, this forum has never been secure in the sense that Firefox warning says.
But as my login information is a user name and password and never been asked to give credit card details, not sure I care.

This is only an issue if you use public networks to access this site, use a non-unique password and you have personal information on this site.

Do you do all of the following?

Just noticed Chrome considers the site Not Secure with a big red exclamation mark.

Shouldn't be a problem unless you are doing financial transactions, I wouldn't have thought.

Chrome and Firefox will now always display HTTP sites as not secure as they aren't encrypted at all, it's something they changed recently in the browser settings.
If you browse to an SHTTP site you will see the warning goes away.

It's a one-size-fits-all response to the (genuine) problem of some websites that process personal or financial data not protecting against man-in-the-middle attacks by using encryption. In the process it produces lots of scary warnings for people who are just browsing innocuous informational sites, or even things such as the web interfaces on their own internal network like their router, FFS!

Ok thanks for the reassurance that it’s ok for this site at least.

It's a question on being sensible.
If being asked for sensitive details on a non secured site, don't. Tis simple really

Meaning logins can be compromised.

What you mean is that logon information could, potentially, be intercepted.

If you are following sensible guidelines, then you won't be using the same logon/password that you use here for your financial and purchasing sites you visit. You're welcome to my logon details. They won't get you into ANY other web site.

Because some people found it difficult to use on large monitors.

Is the issue size or resolution? I have a 4k screen and I preferred it before.

The smartphone I use has it widescreen on landscape so why not on a pc?
Other websites don’t have a problem.
Looks weird.
Never used to be like that.

Why don't you post about it in that other thread if you want to continue the discussion - it doesn't make a lot of sense to hijack your own thread here to discuss an issue that already has its own thread?

It’s nothing to do with the fact that the website isn’t https?
Maybe an attacker could approach from the blank sides on the left and right front?

We have a humour thread here in the Flame Pit, if that's what you're intending.

Where is the humour thread?
I guess the webpages would look ok on my 1997 monitor using W98.
But I’m using a 21” screen on W7. And on the Mac it looks even more strange.
