Hey guys,
I've received a PCN this morning for 31J. What's really strange is that I didn't receive the first initial PCN when the fine should of been at £65. So to keep it simple I've got 2 questions. 1) How can I go about on reducing the fine to £65 (Original Amount), since I've never received the first letter and wasn't aware of the fine? 2) Based on the video I've added of my offence, could I appeal to not even get fined in first place? The car in front of me had extra space but wouldn't move forward for me to get out of the box... Here's the link to the video: https://youtu.be/CJ9j7FsXhNs FYI: It's in the borough of Newham, Barking Road. Love you all. |

Post the PCN - you only get one for a yellow box contravention. It should reoffer the discount. Or have you got a charge certificate?
here's the process: https://www.londontribunals.gov.uk/eat/unde...rcement-process Put pics on https://imgbb.com or such like. This post has been edited by stamfordman: Sat, 16 Feb 2019 - 12:03 |

I've received a charge certificate but I've not received the letter they're stating they've sent to me previously... Any PCN's I've received in the past, I've paid within 3-4 days but this letter they state they've sent to me never arrived at my address otherwise I would of paid the PCN right away. Now they want to charge me £195 for something I've never received in first place. These guys are scumbags This post has been edited by itsleo: Sat, 16 Feb 2019 - 15:01 |

You can't appeal the charge certificate. is the name and address correct and as per your V5C if you are the registered keeper?
If so it's a matter of waiting for the order of (debt) recovery and then you can automatically get the process reset to the PCN, but you need to keep an eye on when the debt is registered at the traffic enforcement centre as you do not want this order to go astray. Yes its correct. do you think me sending a letter letting them know that I didn't receive the first letter and that I'm willing to pay my £65 PCN could potentially reset it to a PCN? Not with Newham, some councils maybe but not Newham. NExt notice will be an Order for Recovery. This will include a Statutory Declaration that you can fill in and send to a place called TEC (all details and instructions on the form) If you have not got this within a month of the date of the CC, get straight back to us. Important that you do not miss this, there is a deadline and you will be in a world of financial pain if you miss them. One month, max. |
