I have received a Parking Charge Notice from a private parking company. i immediately went onto their website to lodge an appeal but received a message saying that i could not "appeal at this time". I sent an email to them pointing this out and asking how i could appeal but they have not answered. What do i do next?
This was a postal pcn and I tried to appeal the same day it arrived in the post. This post has been edited by Forfar5: Thu, 13 Dec 2018 - 21:09 |

No idea - because you have not named the PPC, and haven't told us if you appealed in time and whether it was a postal PCN (or a windscreen one, which is NOT to be appealed 'immediately').

So why not post up the PCN you received, suitably redacted but leave dates. Was there also an alleged windscreen ticket? Has the driver been identified? (simple yes or no).
Basically you have told us nothing, the crystal ball isn't always accurate. |

The date of the incident was 10/10/2018. PCN to keeper issued 06/12/2018. Received 11/12/2018. The company is Responsible Parking Management. The only "evidence" they have offered is a picture of what appears to be my car entering the car park. The "offence" is "Failed to purchase and/or validate a pay and display ticket"
Schoolrunmum i do have a phone but it doesnt have a camera. My Grandson is coming round later and i think he has one so i will ask him to take a picture. I came onto this site for help. Why are you getting angry with me?Older people are not so good with technology |

So with no windscreen ticket then the appeal is this the below text. I think they are past the 56 days for a windscreen ticket.
Dear Sirs, I have just received your Notice to Keeper xxxxx for vehicle VRM xxxx You have failed to comply with the requirements of Schedule 4 of The Protection Of Freedoms Act 2012 namely, but not limited to, failing to deliver the notice within the relevant period of 14 days as prescribed by section 9 (4) of the Act. You cannot, therefore, transfer liability for the alleged charge from the driver at the time to me, the keeper. There is no legal requirement to name the driver at the time and I will not be doing so. Any further communication with me on this matter, apart from confirmation of no further action and my details being removed from your records, will be considered vexatious and harassment. This includes communication from any Debt Collection companies you care to instruct. Yours etc It's not true that older people are not good with technology, it just takes a bit of effort. I'm mid 70's and a friend of mine is 95 and still able to work her computer, phone and tablet extremely well. It just makes it a lot easier, as you see, if we have all the details to work with. Given your username, are you in Scotland? Was the parking incident in Scotland?
