Hi

First post so go easy!

I got caught for speeding back in Feb by an unmarked car that I was driving past and was issued with 3 points and £60 fine, didnt fight the case just accepted it and paid the fine and got my licence back a few weeks later.

Now I was stopped a few days ago by the police and was asked if I had any points on my licence to which I said yes 3. They went and did some checks and came back to me and said they are not showing up on the system and you must have got away with it?!

Now im confused, how do I find out if I actually have points on my licence as the offence was back in February you think they would be on the system by now?

If your license has been returned do any endorsements show on the counterpart? That's the green bit of paper not wishing to teach you to suck eggs ;-)

Strictly you have points on your licence, whether DVLA are aware or not, sometimes the court communications to DVLA go missing, they do however have a nasty habit of catching up eventually.

In summary, you have 3 points.

Yes they are written on the green counterpart. I was just curious why after 9 months they are still not showing.
Thanks
