Pay on the day?

These are decriminalised penalties so I'll ask a Mod to move them to the right forum.

Eh? They are speeding tickets.

Without a time machine almost certainly not.

Best outcome will be one course and one fixed penalty (3 points £100).

Argh, they don't make it through my firewall so I only had the text and heading, I assumed they were Dart crossing tickets.

Presumably you are not the vehicle's Registered Keeper (since the NIPs took five or six weeks to reach you). You could try finding out who the RK is and ask them whether they received the first NIP within 14 days of the alleged offence. Regardless of that and in any event you must respond to the requests for driver's details within the 28 days allowed. Failure to do so will mean you commit two separate, more serious offences each of which carries six points. This means you will face a "totting up" ban of six months.

The limits are clearly signed, so except in the unlikely event that the first NIP reached the registered keeper after 14 days, there is unlikely to be a way to avoid these. One course and one fixed penalty (£100 + 3 points) is the best you can do, provided you are eligible for a course, not having done one for an offence in the three years prior to this offence.

I did wonder how you had managed to achieve those speeds on a road notorious for jams, until I looked at the times of the offences!

Would i need to take it to court to get the course?

No, as a court cannot order a course. Only the police can.
