I seemed to have picked up a bus Lane ticket in Bath - New Bond Street). There was no indication that it was a bus lane so this really surprised is. There was no clear signs. Also the first time we heard about it was a letter telling us the fine had gone up to £90.00 because we hadn't paid the initial fine. We never got any initial fine. Was wondering if a) this is a genuine fine and not a scam and b) how do I fight it in terms of appealing but also because we didn't even get the initial fine. I cannot see any telephone number.

Post what you have - it's a charge certificate no doubt. If you didn't get the PCN there is a statutory way of cancelling the CC but you have to wait for the debt recovery process.
Is the address on the CC correct. Is it your car and is the V5C address correct. Put pics on https://imgbb.com or such like. |

Yes the address is correct on the charge certificate. The vehicle is ours through mobility so they would of obtained the address through the mobility scheme.

Ok thanks.
Take it down as you've left personal details on it. --- Dated 6/9 so now you wait. Bath will register the debt and issue an Order for Recovery. YOU MUST NOT MISS IT. Come back here when you get it and, more importantly, in three weeks if it hasn't arrived. -------------------- |

Call the Traffic Enforcement Centre https://courttribunalfinder.service.gov.uk/...ment-centre-tec and check if the debt has been registered. The Order for Recovery comes from the council, but they need authorisation from the court before they can send it.

If not phone TEC every week and ask if the debt has been registered. As soon as they say yes you can download the form and submit the stat dec This is important as it gets messy if you are late -------------------- All advice is given freely. What he said. You can get it sworn at any county court or magistrates' court. It's normally advisable to make an appointment so you don't have a long wait.
