Hi can anyone help me? Me and a mate was in Wales at the weekend on our motorbikes, my mate overtook a line of traffic on a 60mph single carriage way road, as soon as he had overtaken them I noticed a car chase him which turned out to be a unmarked police car I followed but didn’t overtake the police car, the police caught up with my mate and pulled him, when I caught them up the police officers had blocked the road with his car and motioned me to also pull in, he has done my mate for speeding which he says he has evidence of from his body camera but has also reported me too for speeding as he says I was behind him and keeping up with his speed as he chased my mate which I disagree with, he also estimates I was doing 80mph which I also disagree with! There were no cameras on his car front facing or rear! Plus he didn’t show either of us any evidence of speeding at the time of the so called offence. My question is what evidence does he need to report me? Is his word good enough on its own? And can he just estimate the speed he thinks I was going? Hoping someone can give me some info! Thanks for reaching!

Officer said he was reporting me for exactly the same offence. ie 80 in a 60. Would the fact that OP had his license on him and I didn’t have anything to do with the delay?

Possibly, but unlikely to be a big delay and as long as the cop has your correct address.
