Hi there everyone.

My mother got a ticket the other day when she parked in a disabled bay. This was by accident as she has a residents permit to park on this street and did not realise this was a disabled bay, as the marking and lines are so badly damaged. If she had known she would of parked anywhere on the street as her permit covers this street.
The disabled sign on the floor is badly worn and damaged that it can't even be read.
There is a pole with the sign saying 'disabled badge only' but she did not see it as she has parked plenty of times on this road and knew her permit would cover this road.

What do you guys think would be her best way of approach with this fine, should she appeal to Wandsworth just saying it was a genuine mistake or should she appeal on the basis of the badly damaged road marking?

Thank you

Don't forget to send the FOI team the request for an internal review, as it's the only way we'll get the TMO before you have to register the appeal with the tribunal.

Ok, so I have recieved the FOI from wandsworth.
Which is the best way to post it up?

I have read it and it looks like there is just 2 disabled bays on that street and the one that my mother was parked in is not one of them.

Regards

If they've sent you a pdf, just upload it to something like google drive or one drive or similar and post a link on here.

I've tried to download it but it's not letting me change access to the onedrive. I think the council has restricted it so it can't be shared.
I may have to screenshot it all.

Download it and put it on a onedrive or google driver folder of your own.

Hi guys.

So after all this running around requesting for the TMO from Wandsworth, they have finally replied to the appeal that I put forward in August. Wandsworth have said to me that the pcn was issued correctly but as it has been over the 56 day period to reply they have had to cancel it.

Again thank you to everyone for the help.
