Hi everyone I'm looking for some advice at the beginning of the year i was done for parking in a disabled spot (my bad and fully accepted it ) however due to the nature of my job all mail goes to my mums address as I live on camp down south and it's a nightmare to receive mail. Like an idiot I totally forgot about the ticket and was send abroad for 6 months serving when I came back its was a month or so before I manage to collect my post at this stage there was a letter from marston's saying I owe £180 and that if I did not pay a bailiff would come round and it would add an automatic £200 on top funny enough as I rung them I was told that a bailiff had been round that morning and I would now have to paid £420. I mage to speak to manchester council who told me to contact the traffic enforcement centre and though them I completed a OUT OF TIME form explaining the situation and that as I have been away serving I was unable to take advantage of a reduced rate and was unaware of how much the cost had gone up. To my shock I been sent a letter saying it's been refused is it even worth me trying to appeal as I dont have the money to pay for court and lose and have to pay the bailiff or should i put it down to a harsh life lesson of being done of by council who clear think charging £420 for parking in a disabled spot is justified

Any help would be amazing this could not have come at a worse time not only is it xmas but have 3 kids with one recently getting out of hospital from nearly dieing these people have manage to do what the Taliban fail to do and that's nearly break me

Thank you for your time

I’ve asked a mod to put it in the council and decrim forum as clearly this isn’t the place it should be at all.

Show us what you wrote on the TE7 form.

Did you get a copy of Manchester's objection?

We also need all relevant dates.
